Meghna Gulzar's 'Talvar' has been receiving a raving response and has been going strong since its release. Besides being the most critically acclaimed movie, 'Talvar' has garnered the title of the Best film of the Year by most reviewers.

The Irrfan Khan starrer has received a positive response from the audience as well and the box office performance has been very strong. Unlike most films which show a drop post their first week, Talvar's numbers for the first and second week have been constant and strong by garnering a total of 22.5 crores in two weeks.

'Talvar' has been received very well overseas as well. The movie has earned a grand total of $629.4k overseas by collecting $278.9k in North America, $281.1k in UAE and Middle East, $28.36k in Australia and $29.55k in Singapore in two weeks.

'Talvar' has featured at Toronto International Film Festival, Busan International Film Festival, BFI London Film Festival and Silk Road Film Festival and received a rousing response. Produced by Vishal Bhardwaj and Junglee Pictures, the movie is based on the controversial Aarushi Talwar murder case and features Irrfan Khan, Konkana Sen, Neeraj Kabi and Sohum Shah in pivotal roles.
