Asha Sharath acts plays a brief but strong role in Kamal Haasan`s upcoming thriller film Papanasam`, as a police officer who loses her son`s life and conducts the investigation to book the murderer The interesting part of this information is that she is the only artist who acted in the Malayalam film Drishyam`, retained for the same role in its Tamil remake.

Kamal seems to have mightily impressed with Asha`s performance in the film that has made the Ulaganayagan` to retain her for a role in his next production venture Thoongavanam` too. Kamal revealed this in the press meet held for Papanasam` on Thursday.

The veteran actor's appreciative gesture for Papanasam` team does not stop with Asha. He has also retained producers Suresh Balajee and George Pius of 'Papanasam' to handle the production side of Thoongavanam` which is being produced by Raj Kamal Films International.
