It is always nice to welcome back a talented performer into our midst. Suhasini Manirathnam surely was, and is, one of the most talented actresses.

The vibrant performer has been picking and choosing her roles, and commits to a project only if she is convinced.

Apparently she seems to be convinced about both M Nagendra Kumar and his directorial skills. Suhasini will play the lead in the film titled Tanu.

Talking to newsmen, Suhasini made it clear that the director was original in his ideas and fresh in his thinking.

She pointed out that the film reminded her of films like Swathi and Sindhu Bhairavi.

Suhasini is playing a woman who gets married at the age of 19 and takes on the challenge of life.

Archana plays her sister. 'It is a family drama,' she said.

Sivaji Raja is the hero.

Producer Hari said the film was almost complete and postproduction work was on.

The film is slated for January release.
