It is not everyday that a director is a hot-property.

In the star system that exists in filmdom, it is usually the heroes and heroines who come first in the pecking order.

But things are changing, very fast at that.

Young talents like Murugadoss, who have an ability to weave a glitzy tale around a gritty story, are now a hugely respected lot.

Murugadoss gave the story for Chiranjeevi’s Tagore. Now, his Tamil film Ghajini is a confirmed hit and is being dubbed in Telugu.

Murugadoss is also ready to roll for Chiranjeevi’s new film Stalin.

Everybody feels that Murugadoss is the right person to direct Chiranjeevi now.

The director himself, however, feels that Chiru is just the right man for the role he has conceived for the film.

Murugadoss says that he lived and slept with the story of Stalin for nearly two years. ‘It is coming to fruition only now. I am happy that Chiru is doing it. Of course, it is a role that only he can do,’ he says with surety.

The movie will make it to the floors on 17 November. Trisha is confirmed as the heroine.
