'Tahaan' enthralls Greece

The ace cinematographer and director Santosh Sivan has added one more feather to his crown as his movie 'Tahaan' have been able to corner all the top awards at the 11th edition of the Olympia Film Festival for Children and Young People in Greece.

Santosh says that the film lovers in Greece loved the movie and appreciated the performance of the protagonist Purav very much.

He also added that the audience at first could not believe that 'Taahan' is the first film of Purav.

The movie which tells the story of the affection between a kid and his pet donkey other than grabbing the award for the best feature film also got the UNICEF film award and the International Cinema Federation for Children & Young People (CIFEJ) jury award.

The fact that added more excitement to the triumph of 'Tahaan' is that different people were part of the juries which bestowed the three distinguished awards.

The other actors in the movie are Rahul Bose, Victor Banerjee, Sarika and Rahul Khanna.

Olympia International Film Festival was created in 1997 and is supported and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and the General Secretariat of Youth of Greece.

It was conceived as a result of the collaboration between the Local Authorities of the district Ilia and the Civil Non Profit Company Youth Plan.
