The news first hit the internet when the new project of Akhil Akkineni was still in working stages.

There were many rumours and gossips heard around the town that the super star Ninne Pelladata actress might play the role of Akhil`s mom in Akhil`s next movie. These rumours were neither claimed nor denied.

The rumor happens to be interesting for the Akkineni fandom, because back in the 90s, Actress Tabu was linked to Akkineni Nagarjuna.

However, Nagarjuna dismissed those link-up rumors saying 'We`re just co-stars and nothing more' on many occasions. Fans can`t digest the facts and are making this piece of news viral. Tabu acted in many films after Ninne pelladata, not just in Telugu, but in Bollywood, Tamil and Kannada movie industries.

Given the length of Tabu`s career and her experience in slaying her roles, she wouldn`t have a problem in playing Akhil Akkineni`s mom and convincing the audience that she is more than a glam quotient to the movie.

She was seen in a much mature role in mega star Chiranjeevi`s Andarivadu and perfectly synced to the role as Mega Star`s wife.

Akhil`s debut in Tollywood is his self titled movie Akhil, which just turned out to be a flop.

'If Tabu and Akhil play their respective roles and if the audience accept the movie, the movie might be a good hit.' state some fans.

Pro side of this would be that Tabu and Akhil s combo is enough to create a controversy among the people and promote the movie without much effort.
