Out of several interesting movies set to come out in upcoming months, Taapsee Pannu's biopic of cricketer Mithali Raj stands out well. Taapsee Pannu has started training to be able to perfectly portray the icon of women's cricket who has been an inspiration to millions. She shared some pics from her training sessions on social media.
Recently, Taapsee lashed out on a publication on Twitter when they made a mistake while referring to Mithali. She wasn't happy that Mithali was called 'former' by the publication and pointed out that she still is the skipper of Indian side. Her tweet read, "You do realise she is still the captain of the Indian women’s cricket team that’s going for the upcoming World Cup. Exactly the reason why this film NEEDS TO BE MADE! ‘Former’!!! #ShabaashMithu."
She took the opportunity to show why is it important to tell women centric stories.
