Recently, the actress had posted a sarcastic tweet referring to the Kabir Singh director Sandeep Vanga's slap remark, for a news on a man smashing his girlfriend's head after conflicts with her over her character. Following this, many netizens turned against her, failing to understand the sarcasm in her tweet.

Even after Taapsee had told people without sarcasm to stay away from her tweet, one user had tweeted Taapsee as a cheap actor, and that her mental state is not right.
