Taapsee Pannu awaits the release of the Hindi-language crime thriller 'Haseen Dilruba' on July 2 (on Netflix). In the meantime, the 'Anando Brahma' actress is in the news for reportedly signing up to do a multi-lingual science-fiction flick.
As per a TOI report, the 'Pink' actress is in for a pan-Indian film about aliens doing some unconventional things in India. Helmed by Tamil director Barath Neelakantan, the film will go on the floors later this year most probably.
As per the unconfirmed report, the untitled flick will be high on both budget and VFX. It will be released in more than a couple of languages.
A film involving aliens is an unusual sub-genre in Indian cinema. If Taapsee is indeed headlining such a drama, it will be a big thing, especially because it's not a single-language movie.
'Rashmi Rocket', a sports drama, is also among her upcoming movies in Hindi. 'Looop Lapeta' (the remake of a German hit) and 'Shabaash Mithu' (a biopic on Mithali Raj, the legendary female Indian cricketer), too, are her female-centric films. There are unverified reports that she will team up with 'DevD' and 'Bombay Velvet' director Anurag Kashyap once again.
