Taapsee reveals why she didn’t want to act in Ajith’s Nerkonda Paarvai

Game Over actress Taapsee Pannu explained in a recent interview why she is not part of Ajith’s much-anticipated 59th film, Nerkonda Paarvai, directed by H. Vinoth, which is the Tamil remake of the award-winning Bollywood movie Pink, that had Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee in the lead roles.

On being asked why she did not take up her own role in the Tamil remake, the actress said she was never offered the role in the first place. She went on that she wouldn’t have taken it up even if the offer had been made. Portraying a role such as that one was apparently stressful for Taapsee, and that having to go through the emotional journey yet again was not something she was willing to do. She also added that if she were given a chance to pair up with Ajith in the future, she would definitely take it up.

Produced by Boney Kapoor and co-produced by Zee Studios, Nerkonda Paarvai marks the maiden productional venture of Boney Kapoor in Tamil. The film also has Abhirami Iyer, Andrea, Adhik Ravichandran, and Rangaraj Pandey playing pivotal roles. With music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, NKP is slated for release on August 10.
