Actress Taapsee Pannu is super busy these days. She has several interesting projects lined up and she is jumping from one filming schedule to another to meet her deadlines. According to recent reports, Taapsee has been approached to play the lead in the biopic of tennis star, Sania Mirza. Sports biopics have become quite popular in Bollywood from last few years. l herself is going to star as the captain of Indian Cricket Team, Mithali Raj in her biopic.

It will be brilliant but repetitive to see Taapsee as yet another national icon. Sports dramas aren't a new thing for the actress, she has portrayed a hockey player in 'Soorma', athlete in 'Rashmi Rocket' and criketer in 'Shabaash Mithu'.

A source close to the development revealed, "Taapsee has now been approached for the Sania Mirza biopic as well. This has been in the works for some time. Ronnie Screwvala bought the rights to her life. The makers wanted a younger actress to play Sania and after Parineeti Chopra playing Saina, they didn't want her to do it. They took the film to Taapsee who has liked the script."
