The Tamil Nadu Film Producers Council elections have been announced on the 5th of February 2017 and this time it is expected to be hard fought one with four factions said to lock horns for the top posts. Unconfirmed sources reveal that T. Rajendhar is likely to contest for the President post with KR,A.M. Ratnam and A.L. Azhagappan in other important posts.

The second front with a strong Nadigar Sangam connection is speculated to have Kameela Nassar for the President post, Vishal for the vice President and K. E. Gnanavelraja as the secretary. The third front is said to be the Dhanu group with the current President giving way to Five Star Kathiresan or Sathyajyothi Thiagarajan for the President post.

The fourth front is said to have either Sarathkumar or wife Radhika to contest for the president, J.K. Rithish as Secretary and Radha Ravi as vice president. Whether this is exactly how the TNFPC elections drama will unfold will only be known when the final list of contestants is announced on the 18th of January.
