Speaking after releasing the audio cassette of Veerasaami which is produced and directed by himself, Vijaya T Rajendhar points out, “At this time when my son is a popular actor, I still continue to play a romantic youth.”

“In 2007, I would play the lead role in five films to be produced by Simbu Cine Arts,” actor – director Vijaya T Rajendhar says, with a confidence that is his hallmark.

That is Rajendhar for you. Full of robust enthusiasm.

“Veerasaami features me in the role of a youth, who fights evils in the society. Mumtaz is paired opposite me. Meghana Naidu is also in the cast.”

On the occasion, a few songs from Veerasaami, which were foot-tapping, were screened.

“We are mulling a Pongal release,” he said. He also added, “Typical to my early films like Rayil Payanangalil and Uyirullavarai Usha, Veerasaami has a good storyline backed by good performances.”

Besides penning the lyrics, Vijaya T Rajendhar has also composed the music.
