We broke the news earlier to you that the legendary multitalented actor-filmmaker T. Rajendhar took ill suddenly and is being treated at a private hospital in Chennai in intensive care. We also informed you about plans to take him to Singapore for further treatment as his condition is quite serious.

TR's son Simbu a little while earlier has updated what exactly is the current status of his dad. In a statement the leading hero has written in Tamil that his father complained of sudden chest pain and was taken to the hospital (Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, Porur). Doctors detected bleeding in his stomach and had adviced more advanced treatment.

Simbu has added that keeping in mind his health condition his family is taking TR abroad. He has further given the good news that the 67 year old entertainer is conscious and expressed his confidence that he will be back in prime health to meet fans. The 'Maanaadu' hero thanked fans for their prayers and love.

Simbu was committed to take part in the final leg of shooting for 'Pathu Thala' costarring Gautham Karthik and Priya Bhavani Shankar from May 27th onwards. His 'Venthu Thanindhadhu Kaadu' directed by Gautham Menon is getting ready for release.
