Director, actor and producer T Rajendar, who was last seen on screen in the movie Kavan with Vijay Sethupathi, will be producing the movie Maghaa Manaadu next with his son Simbu, and now the actor is contesting in the elections of distributors association of NSC.

Today, the director met media, and said that for bringing a change in the distributors association of NSC, the members had persuaded him to contest in the elections taking place on December 22 and hence he is contesting, and that Mannar films Mannan is contesting for the role of secretary.

When he was asked on the political stand of Superstar Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan and on why he was not successful in politics, T Rajendar said, "Similar to You too Brutus, you trying to provoke me by telling I am not successful in politics and gain TRP, This TR is always in TRP. I never entered politics to become CM, but to question the ones in power.
