T. Rajendar for the past four decades is on a league of his own in Tamil cinema for his multitalented persona. He is known to serve in his films as a screenwriter, producer, director, actor, songwriter, art director, music director and playback singer among other things.
Rajendar who was unwell for a few months and underwent treatment in the USA has agreed to score music for a new movie titled 'Nan Kadaisivarai Thamizhan'. The film was launched in the presence of Tamil Nadu Film Small Investment Producers Association President R.K. Anbuselvan, Iman Annachi, Karate Raja, Nirmal, actor and producer Nataraj and many others.
M.A Rajendran the director of ' 'Nan Kadaisivarai Thamizhan' is also writing the screenplay and dialogues and producing the film on behalf of CRT Company. The cast and the rest of crew will be announced later.
Speaking at the function, T. Rajender said, “I stopped composing music after 'Bannari Amman' (2002). The reason why I composed the music for this film is the word Tamil in the title of this film. If I call Murugan, I will call loudly. What I like about director Rajendran is his stubbornness. I am stubborn too. I told him, 'Why are you saying Tamil till the end? Say Tamil as long as you are alive, say Tamil as long as you are conscious, say Tamil as long as you breathe, say Tamil as long as you speak. Tamil means sweet. I liked that determination. So I agreed to compose music."
