Back in 2000 Sylvester Stallone wrote and directed The Expendables` which brought back aging action stars of the eighties and nineties like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li and also contemporaries like Jason Statham. Later the two sequels had big names like Harrison Ford, Bruce Willis, Mel Gibson, Antonio Banderas and Jean Claude Van Damme amongst others which though were panned by critics but well received by action movie lovers all over the world.
The Expendables 4` has been in pre-production for a few months now but the latest unexpected development is that Sylvester Stallone the mainstay of the series has reportedly walked out of the new film. It has been stated that there were creative differences between the Academy Award Winning star and Nu Image/Millennium chief Avi Lerner over the film`s script, director and other technicalities. Though the production house has hopes of Sly`s return and a 2018 release of the film insiders swear that the action star is out of the fray for good. It now remains to be seen if the project would ever go on floors or be abandoned.
