'Sye Raa': No 'Saaho'-type situation this time

'Saaho' and 'Sye Raa' have a contrasting situation at hand. The former had secured a solo release at the box-office. In contrast, the Chiranjeevi flick doesn't have that advantage.
On October 2, 'War' will be there to lock horns with 'Sye Raa' in Hindi. Starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, it's no small film. Compare this situation to what prevailed when 'Saaho' released. Even in Hindi, it went solo.
In Telugu and Tamil, a few releases are scheduled for Dasara. They will eat into the margins of the Chiranjeevi film.
Can anybody complain? "The makers of 'Saaho' postponed their movie to a date where there was zero competition. Had it released on Independence Day, 'Mission Mangal' and 'Batla House' would have shown their power to the Prabhas movie. In contrast, 'Sye Raa' doesn't have such a situation. Competition can't be avoided all the time. 'Saaho' resulted in the postponement of the films of Nani and Suriya because it was not a holiday season. But you can't expect others to postpone their films during Dasara just to accomplish 'Sye Raa'," a source comments.
