‘Swathi Muthyam’, produced by S Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments and directed by Lakshman K Krishna, has been postponed from August 13.
The makers today observed that they can’t be adamant about sticking to the release date at a time when the Telugu film industry is going through a rough patch due to audience apathy post-pandemic. In the best interests of everyone, they have opted out of the Independence Day week race.
“Even though it’s the perfect time to release our movie, we didn’t want to compete with other releases. Looking at the situation in which producers are there today, we have decided to call off our movie’s release,” Sithara Entertainments stated.
The film, starring Ganesh Bellamkonda and Varsha Bollamma, has long completed its post-production. Its music is by Mahathi Swara Sagar.
‘Macherla Niyojakavargam’ is an August 12th release and ‘Karthikeya 2’ is an August 13th release. Besides, the two straight Telugu films, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ (dubbed) will also be hitting the screens. Its release date is August 11.
