Swargachithra films headed by appachan were the biggest banner in Malayalam in the yesteryears, when they were creating hits after hits. But in the last few years when the industry was facing the biggest of the crisis, they decided not be in Malayalam and have started working in Kollywood with films like Vijay's Azhagiya Tamil Magan.

Swargachithra had a very good marketing and production sense which catapulted many of the non superstar films of the nineties to big hits. As of now no producers are really there to bring in the new talents and project and market them to the needed heights, which finally resulted in Malayalam film industry revolving around star projects.

But now in the latest report which seems to be much support to the ailing industry, Swargachithra is retuning to the production of films in Malayalam. They will soon be into two projects, one with Mammootty and another with Dileep in the lead.

The Dileep venture will be scripted by S N Swamy and directed by Saajan, while the cast and crew of Mammootty film is yet to be finalised.

Both these films will start only after three months that is after the release of their Tamil biggie with Vijay. The film which has shaped up as a sure shot blockbuster will be released by Deepavali.
