Swara Bhaskar bags Best Actress Award

The 'Raanjhanaa' beauty is thrilled to bits... For, Swara Bhaskar won the Best Actress Award at the second edition of Silk Road International Film Festival, in Fuzhou, China - for the film 'Nil Battey Sannata' (The New Classmate).

Directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, the film features Swara as a mother to a teenager. Sharing about her role, Tiwari in an interview quoted that Swara is a very amazing actress and she had to put eight kgs for her role. She even went to Agra to study the local culture and took two months of training.

Thanking her director, Swara tweeted, "Is going to be lifelong Bunch of thank yous @Ashwinyiyer @CastingChhabra @niteshtiwari22 :) lots of luv n gratitude".

Congratulations, Swara!

Swara will next be seen on big screen in 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' alongside Salman Khan, as his sister.
