'Swara Aunty': Bolly actress trolled for atrocious remarks

Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar was recently on a talk show. At one point, the 'Veere Di Wedding' actress started talking about how she hates being called an 'Aunty' by a child in a soap ad she didn't do. As someone who doesn't like to be called an 'Aunty', Swara actually went on to say that children are evil! You read it right.
The show was packaged as humour and Swara's comments have been seen as comedy by many. But is that so? Just imagine this. If someone were to say 'Women are evil'/'Men are evil' and call it a joke, wouldn't it be outrageous nevertheless? Same holds true about Swara's comments. Asked Shefali Vaidya, the social media influencer, "Is this humour? Calling a 4-year-old child a ‘Ch*^%a’ a ‘Kameena’? Saying with great confidence that children are ‘evil’?"
On Tuesday, someone floated 'Swara Aunty' hashtag to troll the actress. At the time of writing this piece, it was trending in India on Twitter.
