It's known that the self-styled saint Swamy Nithyananda fled out of India earlier this year and established an island named the Kailasa Island. As per him, it's a separate, sovereign country.
In an amusing development, the saint has established a central bank for the country whose population hardly runs into thousands. Calling it the Reserve Bank of Kailasa, Nithyananda has said that a comprehensive economic policy document of 300 pages will be unveiled on Vinayaka Chavithi.
Currency featuring his photo has been printed. "I have a great announcement. On Ganesh Chaturthi, we will be revealing the currencies of Kailasa. The whole economic policy is ready. Everything is legal. Our Reserve Bank is legitimate. Its structure is based on the Vatican bank. All the wealth people are donating from all the world will be received and converted in an organized way. The funds will be spent for the intended purposes. On August 22, the name and shape of the currency will be revealed," Nithyananda is heard saying in a video.
