There is hectic lobbying in Kannada filmdom to change the Regional Censor Officer Nagendra Swamy in the last few days for a tiff that cropped up between him and a noted director. In addition to it the face book remark of Nagendra Swamy has irked many says the sources.

On Friday afternoon at the audio release of Kannada film Suvvi` the apex Body President of KFCC Thomas D Souza and Lahari Recording Company Velu stood behind the honest officer Nagendra Swamy who thinks always in favor of Kannada film producers.

The first tiff evolved with regard to Gaali Beeja` of Babu Ishwar Prasad. Dr Girish Kasaravalli after watching the film claimed that regional censor board was wrong. On blame received Nagendra Swamy demanded an apology from Dr Girish Kasaravalli.

On Friday afternoon prestigious Lahari Recording Company Velu said change of Nagendra Swamy from the existing position is a bad development. According to Velu Nagendra Swamay is the best officer so far. He stands by the problems of the producers. He has censored 202 films in the last year. He has deployed some of the existing rules to the interest of producers.

KFCC President Thomas D Souza explained Nagendra Swamy is very much needed for his thoughts and procedures. He even gave us a study report on introducing new technology in theatres. We are now planning to implement it and this will save crores of rupees for us. There were days the film industry personnel were afraid to get in to office of Regional Censor. It is not like that after Nagendra Swamy arrived. He is approachable and gives a patient hearing stated Thomas D Souza.
