It's known that renowned Hindu saint Swami Paripoornananda, who has always taken up Hindu causes, recently announced a Dharmagraha Yatra to protest against Kathi Mahesh's recent remarks against Sri Rama. The Yatra is scheduled to take place on Monday from Hyderabad to Yadadri. Thousands of Hindus are expected to take part in the rally that is meant to mobilize public opinion against Kathi Mahesh.
The news is that, ahead of the scheduled Yatra, the police have put the Swami under house arrest. They have rounded up his Jubilee Hills residence in order to prevent him from taking up the Yatra. The police have reportedly done it to prevent any untoward incident.
The Dharmagraha Yatra, nevertheless, has found resonance with sections of Hindus who see Kathi's derogatory remarks against Sri Rama as unwelcome and offensive. "The Dharmagraha Yatra will see the participation of all sections, including backward classes. They will rally peacefully by invoking Rama's name," the Swami had said.
