Back in 2013, Janardana Sharma and his wife had enrolled their four daughters in a school run by the godman Swami Nithyananda's ashram in Bengaluru. Back then, the four daughters were in the age group of 7-15.
Earlier this year, the four were shifted to another branch run by the godman's ashram. Named Yogini Sarvagyapeetham, it's located on the Delhi Public School's campus in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. After they came to know of this, the parents went to see the daughters and take them along.
Much to their shock, only their two minor daughters accepted to go with their parents. The other two, who are named by media reports as Lopamudra Janardhana Sharma (21) and Nandhita (18), weren't ready!
Following this, the parents have alleged that the elder daughters have been kidnapped by the school authorities. As per them, they have been kept in illegal confinement. An FIR has been registered against them.
The couple has moved the Gujarat High Court against the school authorities.
