Veteran actor and theater personality S.V.Shekher is back to silver screen's after a long gap with 'Manal Kayiru 2' the sequel to his 1982 super hit classic entertainer. The film will be hitting the screens tomorrow (December 23)

The sequel has been directed by Madhan Kumar of 'Yaaruda Mahesh' fame and it has acquired a U certificate from Censor Board officials.

Now bringing more fortunes to the makers, the Tamil Nadu Government has granted the 30% Entertainment Tax Exemption for the film. This will be a great boost to the box office collections and will benefit all the business stakeholders

Shekher has played the role Kittumani and also penned the script for the sequel in which his son Ashwin Shekher and Poorna play the lead roles in the film. Jayashree comes as Kittumani's wife while Visu the writer-director of 'Manal Kayiru' has been retained in the Naradar Naidu character. The film also has a host of talented supporting actors like Delhi Ganesh, Sonia, Jagan, Chaams and Lollu Sabha Swaminathan. Dharan Kumar has rendered the music score.

We hope veterans Shekher and Visu with the young team repeat their 'Manal Kayiru' magic after 36 years.
