The nation is still mourning the unexpected loss of young Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who died by suicide on the morning of June 14, after having battled depression for a long period of time. The actor earned a massive fanbase, leaving the hearts of tons of them shattered.
Meanwhile, Sushant's father has mentioned in an interview that the actor was planning to get married in early 2021 after the release of his upcoming movie, as he did not wish to get married in the middle of the pandemic. Sushant's father reportedly said that that was the last conversation he had with his son. "We had spoken about it. He had told me that he won’t get married during corona but after his upcoming film releases, he will think about planning a wedding around February-March. This was the last conversation we had about his marriage," he stated in the interview, according to reports. Sushant's cousin, without revealing the name of the girl, also mentioned in an interview earlier that the entire family was gearing up for the wedding and that they had all planned to visit Mumbai soon to host a private wedding ceremony for the late actor. Although actress Rhea Chakraborty was rumoured to be Sushant's girlfriend, his father has explained that he did not know anything about her and that Sushant's ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande was the only girl in Sushant's life that he knew of.
Sushant's last and upcoming romantic drama film, Dil Bechara, which is the remake of the Hollywood film, The Fault in our Stars, will have a digital release and will premiere on Disney + Hotstar on July 24. Sushant made his Bollywood debut with the film Kai Po Che and was last seen in the 2019 blockbuster Chhichhore. The actor received critical acclaim for his portrayal of former Indian skipper MS Dhoni in his biopic.
