More than three months after he breathed his last in his Mumbai apartment, an AIIMS forensic panel's report has said that Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide. A doctor on the panel is reported to have ruled out homicide.
The forensic report has been described as a "conclusive medico-legal" opinion that will be submitted to the CBI, which has been investigating the case.
There were unproven theories of poisoning and strangling. Everything seems to have been debunked by the AIIMS panel.
A media report quotes a top doctor on the panel as saying that there were no injuries on the actor's body other than of hanging. "There were no marks of struggle or scuffle," the doctor added.
What next? The CBI's probe will now look into the angle of "abetment to suicide".
Now that the report by AIIMS is conclusive, theories on his so-called murder might remain just that: theories.
