Late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's friend and creative content manager Siddharth Pathani has mentioned to the police that he had met Sushant the night before his death.

Siddharth, who apparently knew Sushant through a common friend, has claimed that he had been living with the actor for the past one year and that he met him at 1 am the night before his death. He reportedly said that Sushant was upset over his former manager Disha Salian's death, and also because his name came up in several reports regarding her death. Disha Salian died by suicide on June 8. Siddharth has also made another shocking claim that he did not know Sushant's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and that he never asked him about Rhea either, as he wanted him to have his personal space. Siddharth further mentioned that Sushant's family contacted him and asked him about Rhea and the sum of Rs. 15 crore missing from Sushant's bank account. He apparently did not comment on the matter as he did not know anything about it. He mentioned in a statement, I am waiting for Bihar Police, I will cooperate. I want justice for Sushant Singh Rajput.

Regarding Sushant and exactly what happened the night before his death, Siddharth reportedly said to a news agency, Sushant gave me the name Buddha. He had 150 dreams and to complete his dream he had hired me. We both knew each other through a common friend. We all use to pray together, I use to play the guitar. He introduced me to spirituality. He, on the day of suicide, came to my room around 1am and asked me why I was awake. I later dropped him into his room. Next day morning, I came down, and the cook informed me about Sushant's room was locked. Dipesh and Keshav, other flatmates, had seen him in the morning. His closed room surprised us. We waited for some time, then we found him dead. We never thought he can do suicide. He was under treatment, we were aware about it.

Meanwhile, an FIR was registered against Sushant's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty by his father under sections 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint), 342 (punishment for wrongful confinement), 380 (theft in dwelling house), 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust), 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) and 306 (abetment of suicide) of the Indian Penal Code. Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide in Mumbai on June 14.
