Director Suseenthiran who had last directed Genius with newcomer Roshan will have his next release with Angelina which had been in the making since last year. The movie has Saran Sanjai making his debut as the lead, and Krisha Kurup who had acted in Goli Soda 2 plays the female lead in the movie.

Director Suseenthiran has revealed that Angelina will be an investigation thriller, and involves mostly young characters. He has said that the movie will be a social awareness movie with a message on how a woman should live and handle the issues faced by her. The movie has a very short runtime of 1 hour and 50 minutes.

Angelina also stars Devadarshini and Soori in key roles, and for the sixth time Suseenthiran has teamed up with music director D Imman. The movie has cinematography by AR Soorya who had worked in the director's Aadhalaal Kaadhal Seiveer. Angelina is expected to release soon.
