Suriya is not only a star actor but also a great human being. He and his fans have done so many welfare activities to help those who are in need. Suriya is also the founder of the 'Agaram Foundation', an initiative to financially help the education of poor students and it also helps in the upliftment of their life.

Now, the latest news is that Suriya and Jyothika have met the Chief Minister of Tamilnadu today to donate a huge amount for the welfare of tribal community students. This morning, Team Jai Bhim met with the CM MK Stalin to donate Rs. 1 crore to support the education of Irular community students on behalf of Suriya and Jyothika's 2D Entertainment. A cheque for the amount was gifted in the presence of the Honourable CM to Rtd Justice Chandru & members of the Pazhangudi Irular Trust.

'Jai Bhim' is Suriya's upcoming film directed by Tha Se Gnanvel, a journalist turned filmmaker. Produced by 2D Entertainment, it is a courtroom drama based on the 1993 legal battle led by senior advocate Chandru. Suriya fills the shoes of a public prosecutor for the first time. As the movie is about winning justice for an Irular tribe woman, the makers have donated the money to help the Irular community students.

The film stars Prakash Raj, 'Karnan' fame Rajisha Vijayan, Lijomol Jose, Ramesh and Manikandan. It traces the incidents that happened in the real lives of the tribal couple Senggeni and Rajakannu. Sean Roldan composes the musical score while Philomin Raj takes charge of the cuts and SR Kathir wields the lens. 'Jai Bhim' premieres on Amazon Prime Video tonight.
