Surya has confirmed the reports that he is acting in Mirataal.

The film was initially to be done by Ajit but now Surya has been signed . Said Surya “ Nerkumu Ner, Friends and Nandha were all said to be offered to Ajit. Later on I did these films. So I guess yet another film in that series. Murgadas’s story is very good. It will be another hit film for him”

Surya said that in Mayavi he was playing a thief who vanishes after a robbery.

Singam Puli was of great help to Surya during the shooting of Pithamaghan and Peralagan. Surya describes the director as a jolly good fellow. Surya after Mayavi has signed a film with Gandhi Krishna who directed Chellamay.
