Tamil Nadu is in shock after watching the body of two-year-old Surjith recovered by rescue forces from an 80 feet borewell hole into which he fell on Friday in Nadukaatupatty in Trichy. At this time another tragedy has struck as a two-year-old girl has drowned in water drum while her parents were watching Surjith's rescue attempt on TV.

Revathi Sanjana's parents Lingeshwaran and NIsha like thousand others were watching the Surjith rescue attempt on television news channels. After sometime they called for their daughter but there was no reply and worried they searched for her in the neighbourhood and could not find her. When Nisha entered the bathroom she was shocked to find Revathi Sanjana drowned in a water drum kept there. They rushed her to the government hospital where she was declared dead. It is unknown whether the little child was upset by the trauma of Surjith or why she climbed up the drum.
