Suriya and Trisha paired up for a successful Tamil film 'Mounam Pesiyade' directed by Amir on the banner of Mango Mass Media Pvt Ltd. The Telugu dubbing rights of the film were bagged by Ram V at a fancy rate. Now the film which was being dubbed into Telugu as ‘Kanchu’ is being released by M Venkatrao, distributor of Nizam area, through Sri JV Productions by paying a fancy right again to Ram V. The film is now getting released across the state on December 28.

Distributor M Venkatrao says, 'This film successfully ran for 100 days across the Tamil Nadu. I am very thankful to the producer Ram V for giving me the opportunity to release the film across the state. Suriya played in a never before role in his career and Trisha too did a lovely character. She had a good scope not only for glamour but also for performance. The film would be different with different elements like love, action and entertainment. In this film, Suriya gave a new definition to the word 'Love'.

Producer Ram V says, 'Music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and dialogues by Vennelakanti too perfectly matched to the film and the directorial talents of Amir would be another highlight of the movie. Each scene from starting to ending would be very thrilling. The film would remain another hit film in Suriya's career. We think that the Telugu version too would be a hit on the lines of the Tamil film.
