Although his net worth in the industry is multitudes more than what is imaginable, actor Suriya has always been a humble man, with a simplistic profile. The actor had been living in a humble apartment with wife Jyothika and kids Diya and Dev.

The actor's mom had long wanted him to live in a big house with amenities and facilities like a beautiful garden, but the actor had always chosen to be this way. But due to his mother's consistent persuasion, the actor has now started constructing a villa for himself, with both Jo and himself actively involving in designing the layout and infrastructure of the new house. When the issue of naming his villa came up, Suriya thought no more than christen it Lakshmi Villa, after his mother.
