Director Ameer, whose Paruthi Veeran is releasing later this week-end, has postponed his plans to make his foray as an actor. Initially, the producer-actor was slated to make his debut as the hero in a movie to be directed by Samudhirakani.

The latest buzz doing rounds is that Ameer might direct Suriya again for his next movie.

The two had worked together in Mounam Pesiyadhae before. The movie tentatively titled Kannabiran, might go to floors soon.

Suriya is busy shooting for Varanam Aayiram now but when he heard the story of Kannabiran, he was impressed. Sources close to Ameer say that the two would team up this year for Kannabiran. Ameer's Team Work Production House will produce Kannabiran.
