'Vaadivasal' is undoubtedly one of the most-awaited films in actor Suriya's filmography. The leading hero joined hands with the maverick director Vetrimaaran for the first time for this upcoming project produced by Kalaippuli S Thanu's V Creations.

A glimpse video from the film's test shoot was released earlier. According to sources, the latest development is that the 'Vaadivasal' filming is likely to commence in December 2022. Suriya will wrap up a major schedule of Siruthai Siva's 'Suriya 42' and will also complete director Bala's 'Vanangan' before the 'Vaadivasal' shoot.

GV Prakash is scoring music for 'Vaadivasal'. On the work front, Vetrimaaran is currently busy with the final stages of production works in Soori and Vijay Sethupathi starrer 'Viduthalai'. Suriya has projects with 'Jai Bhim' director TJ Gnanavel, 'Soorarai Pottru' director Sudha Kongara and director Ravikumar.
