Suriya has just touched another high in his career with the stupendous success of his new movie 'Soorarai Pottru' directed by Sudha Kongara streaming now on Amazon Prime Video. He is currently shooting for 'Navarasa' produced by Mani Ratnam and directed by Gautham Menon which is also an anthology for Netflix. From January 2021 Suriya will start shooting for 'Suriya 40' directed by Pandiraj and produced by Sun Pictures.

A few months back leading producer Kalaipuli S Thanu made an official announcement that Suriya and Vetrimaaran are coming together for a mega project titled 'Vaadivaasal'. Recently rumors started floating around that the project has been dropped and a person using a fake account in Thanu's name tweeted the same on Twitter which caused further confusion in the industry as well as among fans.

Kalaipuli S Thanu in his inimitable style in chaste Tamil has written that 'Vaadivaasal' starring Suriya and directed by Vetrimaaran will be made as planned and will become a big hit in Tamil cinema history.
