The Tamil film market has expanded all over the globe after the digital revolution and especially the teasers and trailers trend humongously on YouTube, at times even challenging Hollywood biggies.  Thala Ajith's 'Vivegam' trailer had garnered near about 1Crore 50 lakh views with 5lakh likes which was the most (likes) for any film in the world until Thalapathy Vijay's 'Mersal' over took it with 3Crores 60lakh views and a staggering 10 Lakh likes which is currently the highest.

Suriya's 'Thaana Serndha Koottam' teaser released on the 30th of November within twelve days has garnered 80 lakh views and 6 lakhs likes going past 'Vivegam' and is also expected to beat the views in a few days time.  It remains to be seen if the teaser can reach the 1million likes record of 'Mersal' and the views.
