Suriya who had a downfall in his career bounced back with consecutive films - 'Soorarai Pottru' and 'Jai Bhim'. The versatile actor also won a handful of awards for his performances in both films including the National Award.

Now, Suriya is in his busiest phase with multiple films in his pipeline. We already updated you that one of his upcoming projects will be directed by Sudha Kongara. Notably, she already confirmed joining Suriya again for a film in her interviews. The fans are eagerly waiting for this combo as their previous film 'Soorarai Pottru' won several National Awards.

The latest buzz is that Suriya and Sudha Kongara's second collaboration will be a gangster action drama. It was earlier reported that it will be a film based on real incidents. It is worth mentioning that Soorarai Pottru is a movie loosely inspired by the events from the life of Simplifly Deccan founder G. R. Gopinath.

As per the sources, the shoot is expected to commence in the Summer of 2023. Suriya will most likely shoot for director Vetrimaaran's 'Vaadivasal' and Sudha Kongara's film simultaneously. The 'Ayan' actor is currently working on the magnum opus 'Suriya 42' directed by Siruthai Siva and director Bala's 'Vanangaan'.
