Suriya after delivering back to back blockbuster hits 'Soorarai Pottru', 'Jai Bhim' and 'Etharkkum Thunindhavan' is busy shooting for his next 'Suriya 41' in Kanyakumari. The film produced under his own banner 2D Entertainment is directed by Bala with Krithi Shetty playing the female lead.

Suriya and his wife actress Jyothika are happily married for the past sixteen years and have a daughter Diya and son Dev. It is common knowledge that Suriya's father Sivakumar and brother Karthi are also actors and a recent photo is suggestive of Dev also following in the family's footsteps.

A photo of Dev along with director Pradeep Ranganathan of 'Comali' fame has gone viral on the internet. It is suggestive of the young filmmaker explaining a scene to him and another small boy. Speculations are rife that Dev is making his acting debut in Pradeep Ranganathan's new film in which he is also playing the lead. However the news could not be confirmed officially as of now.
