Actor Suriya who had last appeared on screen in the Selvaraghavan directed NGK will be seen next in KV Anand's Kaappaan which is releasing on September 20, and is now working on his 38th movie which is the biopic of Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath, titled as Soorarai Pottru.

This movie is directed by Sudha Kongara who had previously made Irudhi Suttru starring Madhavan and Ritika Singh. Soorarai Pottru also stars Aparna Balamurali known for acting in 8 Thottakal and Sarvam Thaala Mayam and now it has been said that the movie might be releasing on December 20 around Christmas.

It must be noted that Siva Karthikeyan's 15th movie, Hero directed by PS Mithran of Irumbuthirai, had also fixed the same release date of September 20. Produced by KJR Studios, Hero also stars Kalyani Priyadarshan, Action King Arjun, Bollywood actor Abhay Deol and Ivana. It is to be seen if Suriya and Siva Karthikeyan will go ahead with the clash or change dates.
