It is a known fact that Suriya's massive budgeted film 'Kanguva' is progressing briskly towards the finish line. Directed by Siruthai Siva, the movie will feature Suriya in multiple roles and the story will take place in different timelines. We already broke to you that the team is currently filming the periodic portions. UV Creations and Studio Green are jointly funding the project.
While an extravagant song with 1500 dancers was shot recently, the makers are gearing up to commence a new schedule at Kodaikanal on June 29. They will continue to film the periodic portions in the upcoming schedule as well. Based on the latest reports, nearly 60 days of shooting are pending to complete Kanguva. The Kodaikanal schedule will go on for 20 days. It will be followed by a Chennai schedule and a foreign schedule.
Sources tell us that the crew will move to Chennai for a 30-day long schedule after the upcoming schedule. Then, a final 10-day schedule will take place in Bangkok which is said to be the last leg of shooting. The Bangkok (final) schedule is planned to happen in September month and the shoot is most likely to be wrapped up on the last week of September. Kanguva will enter the post-production in October.
The post-production work involves a lot of VFX and it will take around six months of time to be delivered. It is being said that the makers are aiming for a grand festival release in April 2024. Kanguva stars Suriya, Disha Patani, Yogi Babu, Ravi Raghavendra, Kovai Sarala, Redin Kingsley, Anand Raj and others. It has music by Devi Sri Prasad with DOP by Vetri Palanisamy, editing by Nishadh Yusuf and stunts by Supreme Sundar. The film will be released in 2D and 3D in 10 languages.
