In a bizarre case of life imitating art, an actor who played the role of a drug trafficker in a movie has been arrested for the same crime that he committed in real life. Nigerian national Chekuwame Malvin played the sinister role of the henchman of the main villain Danny Sapani in the 2013 super hit film 'Singam 2' starring Suriya and directed by Hari.
Earlier today the Bengaluru police caught Malwin red-handed while peddling drugs to college students and also businessmen. 15 grams of MDMA, 250 ml of hash oil worth over 7 lakhs, and other drugs worth rupees 8 lakhs were in his possession. Several mobile phones were also confiscated from the house he was staying in East Bengaluru which are said to contain more evidence regarding the drug operation.
Chekuwame Malvin apart from 'Singam 2' has also acted in Kamal Haasan's 'Viswaroopam' and other South Indian language and Bollywood films too. He has mostly played shady characters and has now copied it in real life too and is now behind bars.
