Suriya's 'Singam' actor arrested in drugs case

Nigerian national Chekwume Malvin, who played a negative role in the 2013 super hit film 'Singam 2', is in the news for an interesting reason. On Wednesday, the Bengaluru police caught Malwin red-handed while peddling drugs to college students and also businessmen.

Going into the details, 15 grams of MDMA, 250 ml of hash oil worth over 7 lakhs, and other drugs worth rupees Rs 8 lakh were in his possession. Several mobile phones were also confiscated from the house he was staying in the East Bengaluru.
Times Now reported that Malvin's arrest came to light one day after four people were nabbed with drugs in Bengaluru. The individuals were arrested with drugs worth Rs 1 crore, the national media reported. Two of those who were arrested were Iranian nationals.
Malvin, who also acted in Kamal Haasan's 'Viswaroopam' and a few other South Indian and Bollywood films, has mostly played shady characters in his career.
