Actor Suriya's mega budget- time travel flick '24' has released worldwide on May6 and the film has acquired huge acclaims and appreciations from critics and audience across the world. Owing to the phenomenal pre-release buzz and positive word of mouth, the film directed by Vikram Kumar has made huge collections across the globe in its opening weekend.

In the home turf Chennai, the film has crossed the one crore mark with ease. In the first three day weekend (May 6-May 8) the film has collected Rs.1,62,79,725 in Chennai city box office. The film is running in 21 theaters within the city limits. 333 shows were screened in the first three days with a whopping 95% theater occupancy,

With such a fantastic positive feedback from everyone who have watched the film, '24' is expected to strengthen its grip at the box office in the coming weekends.

The film has been produced by Suriya under his 2D Entertainments banner. He has also acted in triple roles in the film. Oscar Nayagan A.R.Rahman's musical score, Tirru's camerawork and VFX effects have also worked in favour of the film.
