The much expected audio launch of Suirya`s mega budget sci-fi flick 24` happened today amid much frenzy of fans with a host of celebrity guests from Kollywood gracing the occasion. There were also some beautiful live performances from the singers and music director A.R.Rahman which made it an extremely beautiful and memorable film event:

• Veteran actor Sivakumar arrived along with his sons Suriya and Karthi and the entry of the trio lightened up the mood. Vikram Kumar and Nithya Menen, K.E.Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green. Rajasekar Pandian of 2D Entertainments were already present. Samantha could not make it to the event as she is busy with the last schedule of shooting for Brammotsavam`.


• The venue was thronged by hundreds of Suriya fans and they kept cheering up. Suriya had to rise from his seat and wave his hands more than thrice.


• A.R.Rahman, the Oscar Nayagan and also the Naygan (hero) of the event arrived and he directly went and sat on the first row which was actually allocated for the press. Suriya came and took him to cushioned rows where the celebrities had to sit. That`s amazing simplicity and that`s why he is Rahman. Lyricsts Madhan Karky came early while his father Vairamuthu joined a little later


• The event started with a minute of silence observed in respect to the innocent victims of Kollam Fire tragedy on Sunday.


• Kalam Yen Kadhali` penned by Vairamuthu which was been already released as the first single track was performed live by the singer Benny Dayal, Shaswat Singh and Abhay Jodhpurkar. That was a lively performance with the spirit of energy gushing out from all the three singers, especially Benny.


• This was followed by the rendering of Naan Un Azhaginile` by Chinmayi.


• The third song performed live in the event was Araaro` by Sakthishree Gopalan.


• The Telugu version of the same song has been crooned by none other than Nithya Menen who is one of the heroines of the film. !!! Nithya also sung the Telugu song live for the Tamil audience.


• If these surprise treats were not enough the Isaipuyal voluntarily came up on the stage and played the music for Nithya Menen`s rendition of the song.,


• Rahman called all the singers to the stage and introduced them to the audience. There are seven tracks in the album and three were performed in the event.


• As the guests were called to dais Suriya came to the first row and he personally handed over the welcome bouquet of flowers and played a perfect host.


• The two minutes trailer of the film was launched in the event by none other than Karthi.





• Producers Council Secretary T.Siva, Vice President P.L.Thenappan and producer G.Dhananjyan spoke conveying their wishes for the success of 24`.


• Art Director duo Amit and Subrata Chakraborty making their Kollywood and Tollywood debut with 24`, were introduced to the audience. They thanked Vikram Kumar, Suriya and the whole team of 24` for the opportunity.


• Director Hari who is presently busy shooting for S3` the third installment of the blockbuster Singam` series with Suriya was a surprise guest. He revealed that we will get to see Durai Singham for the third time in silver screens within four or five months.


• Actor Sivakumar shares some proud words about his son Suriya.


• Actress Saranya has played Suriya`s mother in the film. She spoke about shooting for the film and working with Suriya and Vikram Kumar.


• Lyricist Madhan Karky speaks about the songs he has written for the film.


• Lyricist Vairamuthu speaks about the film, Vikram Kumar, Suriya and A.R.Rahman.


• Vikram Kumar thanks the entire team. He spoke very less words and said he feels shy to speak on stage.


• Nithya Menen who has worked with Vikram Kumar in the Telugu film Ishq` speaks about the director and Suriya her co-star and producer of the film


• A.R.Rahman gives a very shortest but sweet speech as usual. Says audiences have to speak about the film.


• Suriya gives a speech out of the heart characterized by modesty and down to earthiness filled with immense gratitude for fans and appreciation for the film`s cast and crew members.


• 24` music album launched officially.
