As we had reported earlier, actor Suriya's '24' which is also his ambitious production venture had taken a grand opening across the globe. The film has performed extremely well in the North American Segment of USA and Canada not only in the opening weekend but also on the second weekend.

According to date from reliable sources the Vikram Kumar directed Time Travel flick has garnered $1,388,976 in US and $119,519 in Canada till May 15 2016 that is the Sunday last. In Indian money this comes to Rs.10.08 crores in less than ten days, which can be termed as an awesome collection. The figures include the collections made by both Tamil and Telugu versions of the film screened across the two North American countries.

Back home '24' is doing brisk business across all the centers in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and it has been holding on to main screens and good number of shows withstanding last week's new releases.

'24' stars Suriya in triple roles that includes his first negative character on screen- Athreya which has won phenomenal appreciations from critics and audience. Samantha and Nithya Menen have played the female leads. A.R. Rahman's musical score is another big plus for the film.
