Suriya along with director Hari has created one of Tamil cinema`s first franchise film with the blockbuster Singam` spawning two sequels in Tamil. Both the Hindi versions Singham` and Singham Returns` directed by Rohit Shetty and starring Ajay Devgan in the lead role achieved super hit status. In a recent press interaction Rohit Shetty has revealed that due to public demand he is planning to make Singham 3` obviously with Ajay Devgan reprising his role.

Only a few days back came an announcement that cinematographer turned director Ravi K Chandran is remaking S3` in Hindi with Sunny Deol as the leading man. What we can make of this is that the Ravi K Chandran film will be a faithful remake of Suriya`s 'S3' and Rohit Shetty will probably go for a new screenplay with Ajay Devgan.
